Thomas Jensen Legacy now at Volume 19 Pieces and performances of exceptional historical interest, showing Thomas Jensen's place at the centre of Danish musical culture in the 1950s and 60s. DRSO principals take starring roles in a pair of Nielsen concertos on CD1, which reaches an ecstatic climax in the composer's early cantata in praise of love. CD2 presents a survey of Danish composers from the early-Romantic era to Jensen's own time, including a symphony composed in the aftermath of the Second World War, and two pieces vividly depicting the passing of the seasons.
