Hailing from Havana, Cuba, Raphox is first and foremost dedicated to the uniformity of his productions, meticulously crafting beats and sequences into a cohesive whole. Now residing full time in Miami, he is aware that only through fusing several genres, including the ones from his home island, can his stellar productions make a mark in the huge world music market. In the course of less than a year, Raphox is quickly making a name for himself, expanding the whole premise of down-tempo lo-fi electronica, incorporating hip-hop and Afro Cuban elements to create something entirely new. One of his first endeavors was a remix of Swamp Dogg's 1970 funk opus "Synthetic World," which had the music world sit up and take notice, garnering rave reviews. With a remarkable ear for melody and rhythm, and a deep respect for the roots, Raphox is in a class of his own. On his new single release "Voy Pa Ti," Raphox is joined by the talented rapper San2kan and beat guru Pantoja capturing the old magic of Havana through the filter of the modern world with expert production throughout.
